Biography
Annavarapu Rama Swamy was born on March 23, 1926 in Andhra Pradesh and is identified with the Carnatic violin tradition of the Telugu-speaking region.
His profile is notable not only for concert performance but also for creative work: sources credit him with new ragas and talas including Vandana raga, Sri Durga raga, Tinetradi tala, and Vedadi tala.
