Biography

Fayiz Muhammed, born Faiz Muhammed K. S., is from Aluva, Kerala. He began formal violin lessons as a teenager through Kalabhavan, studying both Carnatic and Western classical approaches.

While in college he founded the fusion band Red Viola with fellow musicians, performing violin-led covers and crossover pieces. He has appeared in concerts in India and abroad and has collaborated with artists from cinema and independent music.

His work includes composing theme music, participating in international ensemble events, and a cameo as a violinist in the Malayalam film Pathinettam Padi, making him part of the current crossover generation of Indian violinists.
