Radhika Venkatramana,belongs to a music parampara. A Telugu velanadu brahmin born &brought up in Tamilnadu. Her parents her father Shri.E.R.Jeyaraman (disciple of Alathur Brothers)mother smt.Rajalakshmi jeyaraman(a vainika &a vocalist disciple of சேலம் desigan)were her first gurus. Mother is in Chennai. Radhika 's second guru was the famous carnatic vocalist &veena artist shri.Dr.Prof.S.Ramanathan gaaru who had given training in vocal. She has learnt prahlada bhaktha vijayam,now காலை charitable,utsava sampradhaya krithis of sadguru tyagaraja swami. Her first violin guru was Ramnad M.N.Ganesapillai who had taught her basic in violin.He used to accompany the famous vocalist madhurai shri..Somasundaram gaaru,a great musician of yesteryears.when ahead was 15 years old,she has given maiden vocal concert in tyagaraja aradhana both in Thiruvaiyaru (the famous tyagaraja aradhana festival happens everyyear in Tamilnadu)&in Trichy malaikkottai pillaiyar temple tyagaraja aradhana festival. She was a young child artist for singing in young artists programs inTrichy A.I.R. After completing her 12th grade in Trichy (music was her elective)she had proceeded to Madras Adayar Government Music college for advanced training in both carnatic vocal &violin. Her professors were the famous parur baani Prof.M.S.Anantharaman sir&Sangeeta kalanidhi padmashri.Prof.T.N.Krishnan sir. She has learnt both Baanis&follows. Got Gold medals for both vocal &violin .She has done an advanced vocal course too from Madras Music College. After successfully finished her isaikalaimani vidwan title course in music college,her very first job was a staff artist for song &drama division,ministry of information and broadcasting Government of India as a violinist in Chennai. On those days only she used to compose music for orchestra . She didn't continue the job after her marriage. She was in Bombay for sometime. Then permanently settled in Bangalore She couldn't continue her profession for some years due to family management etc.So she didn't pursue her A.I.R grades too,missed interviews,call for upgrading etc.She had given her devaranama renditions inA.I.R Bangalore. After some gap she has again restarted her vocal,violin concerts,teaching to students. She is an expert committee member for ccrt panel for selecting merit students for vocal &instruments. She has given both vocal &violin concerts in india &abroad. Her important concerts including konark dance festival,Mysore dasara festival from 1998 till last year,south zone cultural center festival in Tanjore with Mahila laya madhuri of H.P.Ramachar sir,gayana samaja,bharathiya vidya bhavan,karnataka gana kala parishad accompanying violin to Dr.Sukhanya Prabhakar gaaru,violin accompanying in various prestigious sabhas like Ananya,tyagaraja gana sabha,Nadajyothi sabha(koramangala jugalbandhi violin)with pandit Iman Das(vocal)at seva sadan malleshwaram,again jugalbandhi (my violin)used to sing for bharathanatyam,kutchipudi,mohiniattam apart from playing violin to these dance forms,played violin support to the great genius Madurai G.S Mani gaaruvin Carnatic Music Society of Goa.Trained NCC cader students for All india level Republic day competitions from Airforce jalahalli won the first prize too.Navaraspur utsavam,karavali festival,udupi paryaya violin accompanying for saxophone Puttur.Ganesh,Kadri Rameshnath gaaru,shimoga kumaraswami etc. She has accompanied on violin for famous vocalists like M.A.Ramamani ji,Nagavalli nagaraj ji,saralaya sisters in Doddabellapur,played violin accompaniment to cds for female vocalists. Awards Priyadarshini Indra gandhi award in 2000 for doing service to the national integration through music.performed so many years in ISCKON,yavanika,,ICCR programs. Recently Awards from Nadajyothi Sangeeta sabha as Nada-sudha-sri title for violin. Honnappa bhagavatar centenary celebrations award etc.Being as a judge to many state government competitions like bala prathibe,kishora prathibe,yuva kalavidara prathibe,gayana samaja competitions,sabha competitions etc.For ccrt merit scholarship competitions,the government of India had selected Smt.Radhika Venkatramana as the only judge from south india except andhra.she had been selected as a non partial,non controversial exaniner among Chennai,karnataka,kerala&Goa regions. Every year she participates,pays her homage to sadguru tyagaraja swami for his aradhana festival at thiruvaiyaru from 1998 onwards. She has participated in muthuswami dikshitar Swamy "s aradhana at Ettayapuram .She has composed music to well known music lyricist like Ram Ramaswami from North America. She had done both vocal,violin bgm,supported her vocal on violin through track. Her Audava navaraga malika krithi on navaratri devis is popular in her youtube channel.
