Biography
Ragini Shankar performs Hindustani classical music and fusion. She is the granddaughter of N. Rajam and daughter of Sangeeta Shankar.
Her music belongs to a family tradition associated with gayaki ang, where the violin is shaped to reproduce the movement and nuance of the singing voice.
Together with Nandini Shankar and Sangeeta Shankar, she represents a multi-generation Hindustani violin lineage active in classical and crossover settings.
