She was initiated & influenced to music, as parents Late Smt. Chandramathi & Late Sri. Venkatakrishna, had created music environment at home, her sister Vidushi Rama K Murthy taught her Carnatic style Vocal lessons with care and perfection. Later she started Violin lessons under Vidushi Neela & Ranganayakamma, continued under Vidwan HK Raghavendra and HV Krishnamurthy. She has won prizes during intercollegiate solo music competitions and also won prizes from music sabhas like Bangalore Gayan Samaj, Malleswaran Sangeeta Sabha, South Central Cultural Zone (SCZCC). Recipient of Karnataka Sangeeta Nritya Academy (KSNA) Scholarship. She was actively involved in Youth Festival Orchestra “Jhenkara”, directed by UstadAmzad Ali Khan at Indira Gandhi Stadium -1989, the Guest of Honor PM Sri. Rajiv Gandhi at New Delhi. Jhenkara Orchestra programme was telecasted in National TV Channel on Republic Day-1990 and also a concert at YAVANIKA, Bangalore, Preliminary concerts were comprised of music Orchestra directed by Gurus and Senior Artists such as Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan – Vidwan S. Krishnamurthy, Vijaya College of Music-Vidwan HV Krishnamurthy, Prapancha the ‘world of music’-Vidwan B. Shankar Rao, etc., Later she started to accompany for Vocal, Veena, Gotuvadya, Flute, Nadaswara, Jaltarang, etc., including Veena, Veenu and Violin, concerts, on various occasions. Lately started giving solo performances, Solo & Accompaniment performances • Accompanied to Vocal concerts of Vidushi Lalitha during National festival-2025, Vidushi KamalaMurthy-Music Conference-2024, Vidwan Rajappa_Teachers of Indiranagar Sangeeta Sabha, Bengaluru • Accompanied Sarvepalli sisters at Indiranagar Sangeeta Sabha_2024 • Datta Jayanti Programme at Thyagaraja Nagar, Blore-2019 • ISS, International Conference, Bangalore-2018 • Tumukur Gayana Sabha -2018 • ICCR, & Dept of Kannada & Culture , Bangalore - 2013 • International Murugan Festival, KL_Vocal Concert_2012, • Vidwan Mallikarjun Mansoor Centenary Celebrations, SCZCC Dharwad & SCZCC programme as Accompanist @ Elor-1994 • Karnataka Sangeeta Nrutya Academy (KSNA) @ Badami • UdyanaVanadalli Udaya Raga by Department of Culture – 2007 • “Nada” Programme (Shubhodaya) of Udaya T.V.
