Vidwan Sri. T.S.Krishnamurthy (Sri.TSK) hails from a family of musicians. His grandfather Late Sri. T. Krishna Shastry was an eminent violinist & vocalist. His father Late Sri. T. K. Subramanya Shastry was an renowned violinist. He began his training on the violin at the age of five under the guidance of his father & started his musical career as a violinist at an early age of 12. Sri. TSK teaches Traditional Classical South Indian Music called Carnatic music, which is based on a complex intricate system of Raagas(melodic scales) and thalaas (rhythmic patterns). He has established himself as a reputed classical solo violinist, as well as an exemplary accompanying violinist over the past 35 yrs. He has received several Accolades, Awards & Titles from prestigious institutions all over the world. He has established a music school “TSK School of Music”, in Bangalore & US, and he has been training several students in violin and vocal over the past 15 yrs. Every year he trains several students to perform and brings them to a performing level. A significant number of students are leading performing artists. He has got more than 100+ students worldwide under his belt. He has also conducted several violin, vocal, Taala and Laya workshops worldwide. These workshops are mainly focused around special works of composers and advanced training. To add to his areas of contribution to music, he has established a footprint in composition of music as well. He has composed music for several dance ballets over the past few years and these dance ballets shows have been a great success. He also has released several CD’s for Indian Classical Dance under his musical direction and guidance. He has also put together several symphonies and ensembles over the past several years in partnership and collaboration with artists globally. Sri. TSK is an engineer by profession and is well affluent with the technology and tools. He is currently working on a project in collaboration with the central board of India and universities here to develop and establish an online self guided learning tool and program to enable the self learning of music in the traditional style of learning. Once this gets deployed, it will help bring a bigger pool of music students who are learning western classical music to learn Carnatic music without compromising on the quality, Leveraging his experience and background and knowledge in music, he Is constantly invited by universities to set the curriculum for music department, setup and proctor exams from undergraduate to PhD students. Sathyavathi Concerts and Performances With a reputation for presenting electrifying stage performances and delivering meticulous emotional expression to music, Sri.TSK has presented solo concerts with finesse & grandeur at several prestigious sabhas & festivals, at national & international venues worldwide. He has accompanied most of the leading senior artists and is a much sought-after violinist in the music community worldwide. Ensembles and Symphonies Sri TSK has conceptualized, composed and directed several multi-violin Symphonies & ensembles like Nadavarshini, Metrozone Symphony, Thirthankara Divya Darshana, Haridasa Ganamruta, etc. These symphonies were presented at prestigious venues and festivals all over India, for the past 11 years. These programs were dedicated to support & fund several NGO’s and organizations.
