Biography

B. Vittal Rangan was born into a musical family and began with vocal training from his mother Chitra Bilvam before moving to the violin.

He had early lessons from R. R. Keshavamurthy and later came under the guidance of A. Kanyakumari, whose bani shaped his violin approach.

He is an A-grade artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan, appears frequently as an accompanist to senior musicians, and is also active as a solo violinist.
