H. K. Narasimha Murthy

H. K. Narasimha Murthy is a senior Carnatic violinist from Mysore. His training was shaped by the Parur violin school through Parur Sundaram Iyer, M. S. Anantharaman, and M. S. Gopalakrishnan.

He served as a staff artiste at All India Radio, Mysore, where he earned A-Top grade recognition. His accompaniment career spans many major Carnatic musicians and reflects close attention to the main artist's musical line.

Narasimha Murthy is also known as a teacher who has trained several later violinists, making him a bridge between the Parur inheritance and contemporary Karnataka-based Carnatic violin practice.
