Biography

Milind Raikar was born in December 1964 into a musical family in Goa and began appearing on stage at the age of five.

He learnt initially from his father Atchut Raikar, B. S. Math, and Vasantrao Kadnekar, and later became a disciple of D. K. Datar and Kishori Amonkar.

In 2006, he established the Raikar Academy of Violin to propagate the violin style of his guru D. K. Datar and to train students in the Hindustani gayaki approach.
