Biography

Mysore Nagaraj belongs to a violin family rooted in Mysore. He is the son and disciple of violinist Vidwan S. Mahadevappa.

With his brother Mysore Manjunath, he is known as part of the Mysore Brothers, a Carnatic violin duo whose concerts present traditional raga, kriti, and improvisational structures through two violins.

The duo has performed in India and abroad, and Nagaraj's profile is closely tied to the Mysore school of Carnatic violin and to the sibling concert format.
