H. N. Bhaskar

H. N. Bhaskar is the son and disciple of H. K. Narasimha Murthy, and grew up in the disciplined musical environment of the Mysore violin tradition.

After years of advanced training with his father, Bhaskar studied with M. S. Gopalakrishnan, strengthening a style suited to accompaniment, solo playing, and experimentation.

He has accompanied major Carnatic musicians, won prizes at the Madras Music Academy, and received the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar from the Sangeet Natak Akademi.
